Vegetable broth | 2 cups |
Salt and pepper | a pinch |
day-old bread, cubed | 1 loaf |
Garlic | 3 cloves |
Dice onion, carrot and celery.
Dice apples with the skin on.
Mince garlic.
1. Sauté onion, celery, and carrots for 5 minutes.
2. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
3. Add vegetable broth, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for 10 minutes.
1. Preheat oven to 350F.
2. Combine bread cubes and apples in a large mixing bowl.
3. Remove mixture from heat and add to bread cubes mixture; mix until thoroughly combined and evenly moist.
Transfer the mixture to prepared baking dish.
Bake for 30 minutes.
Remove from oven and serve.
